Polyurethane is a very common material that is used based on a large number of industrial applications. The main reason for that is the material and mechanical properties of polyurethane foam. The problem is raised through the disposal of this large number of polyurethane-based products. There are three main disposal technologies used around the world. They are basically landfilling incineration and recycling. Recycling is the most satisfactory way to apply it in the modern world. Upcycling is the modern recycling method. Polyurethane flow mats are widely used in household and business sectors because of their waterproof and versatile properties. Using the upcycling concept and selecting the most suitable recycling product as thermal insulation panels. Designed DOE and develop experiments to develop the best combination of raw materials. Using a compression molding method developed the best thermal insulation panel. A method to produce thermal insulating materials by compression molding, using household waste vinyl matt which includes polyurethane is presented. The material composition is a mixture in the sequence Vinyl matt/Fiberglass/Polyester resin/Catalyst Mepoxy. The best thermal insulation property is exhibited at the composition (%W/W) 25:25:35:5 Vinyl matt: Fiberglass : Polyester resin: Catalyst Mepoxy at Particle size of 10 mm x 10 mm and Thickness (Thickness of the sample was used to represent molding pressure in order to reduce experimental difficulties and thickness taken as inversely proportional to the molding pressure of the sample) of 10 mm as experimentally determined by the study. Thermal conductivity at this composition is Sample 3 - 0.10693 W/mK. Its thermal conductivity can be approximately described in the form 0.01648 * Thickness – 0.0302. This also represents a win from an environmental point of view, since this method can directly recycle multi-material systems such as Vinyl that would otherwise be extremely challenging without preprocessing.
